AireSpring Announces Industry-First Cloud & Connectivity Quoting Method

Revolutionary Software for Quoting and Configuring Cloud and Telecom Services Upends Traditional Approach

Cloud, Fully Managed and Connected

LAS VEGAS, NV – March 16, 2015 – AireSpring, an award-winning provider of managed connectivity and cloud communications solutions, today announced the release of QuoteSpring 4.0 at the Channel Partners Conference and Expo in Las Vegas. QuoteSpring 4.0 is the next evolution in AireSpring’s ground breaking quoting and proposal generation platform, and significantly reduces sales cycle and complexity for partners.

AireSpring is a pioneer in the development of real-time quoting engines and has built an extremely comprehensive portal as a result of continuous advances over 10 years. The release of QuoteSpring 4.0 marks a complete redesign of the portal to allow partners to rapidly and accurately quote sophisticated managed connectivity and cloud communications products. These products can include many components that must be accounted for when building a proposal for complex enterprise data, voice, and cloud communications networks and services.

As explained by Avi Lonstein, AireSpring CEO, “We understood some years ago that the way services are routinely priced and quoted no longer works in a world where voice is just another application delivered over an IP layer. We needed to entirely re-think the process of quoting and generating proposals in the industry. It has taken us more than a year to completely re-write our QuoteSpring engine to allow for the flexibility and dynamic changes required as a service provider today. Once again, AireSpring is a trail blazer for the industry.”

The platform allows selection of a wide array of connectivity options, partnered with any of AireSpring’s cloud communications solutions. Add to that over 15 available IP Phones, managed switches, routers, voice minute bundles, and seat types, allowing for thousands of possible combinations.

In addition, QuoteSpring 4.0 provides sophisticated tools for generating massive multi-location quotes with the click of a button and further integrates with AireSpring’s database of hundreds of thousands of buildings from numerous top tier fiber competitive access providers and cable MSOs. This data offers unprecedented granularity and access to buildings with fiber availability.

QuoteSpring 4.0 also delivers access to AireSpring’s incredibly powerful MPLS MESH network, which merges more than 12 top tier carriers to provide a resilient high performance network that offers the lowest access cost for each location. AireSpring’s architecture presents an integrated and fully managed network to customers while seamlessly stitching multiple MPLS networks together in the background. The combination of this powerful and flexible network with the QuoteSpring real-time quoting engine is a clear example of the AireSpring Advantage for partners.

“AireSpring is one of the few providers who can leverage the power of our fully managed network and integrate it with a complete suite of cloud communications applications and services, including cloud contact center, cloud business phone system, and SIP trunking,” said Mr. Lonstein. “We have designed QuoteSpring 4.0 with these services in mind, providing our partners with the ability to rapidly quote connectivity from numerous access providers and then build a comprehensive professional proposal in minutes. We believe this provides our partners with a significant competitive advantage.”

PRESS RELEASE – SAN JOSE, Calif. – March 11, 2015 – Cisco today announced an extension of its cloud and data center relationship with Microsoft to include a new technology platform designed to accelerate service delivery and streamline the journey to the Intercloud for cloud providers.

Today’s next-generation cloud services require close compatibility between hardware, software, network, storage, and compute. As a result, cloud providers are challenged with managing the complexity and cost of integrating the infrastructure and application layers required to bring new cloud services to market. To address these issues, Cisco and Microsoft are launching the Cisco Cloud Architecture for the Microsoft Cloud Platform—an integrated solution that combines Windows Azure Pack and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) to help cloud providers rapidly deliver hybrid cloud services while drastically simplifying operations and reducing costs..

Additionally, 14 cloud providers today announced they plan to join Cisco’s Intercloud partner ecosystem, bringing the number of Intercloud providers to more than 60 with a footprint of more than 350 data centers across 50 countries.

Cisco and Microsoft Deliver Integrated Cloud Platform

The Cisco Cloud Architecture for the Microsoft Cloud Platform will provide the building blocks for cloud providers to evolve beyond traditional infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offerings to create combined IaaS, platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS) solutions that deliver more value to their customers.

The integration between Cisco and Microsoft technologies will aim to enable cloud providers to realize unprecedented value. The combination of Windows Azure Pack and Cisco ACI allows partners to deliver services—from network services and disaster recovery, to big data, and enterprise application services—at DevOps speed, drastically reducing total cost of ownership and accelerating time-to-revenue. This collaboration will deliver pre-packaged policy management libraries that allow cloud providers to implement applications more quickly with consistent policy management.

Building the Intercloud with Partners

Together with its partners, Cisco is building the Intercloud—a globally connected network of clouds. Architected for the Internet of Everything, Cisco’s Intercloud is designed for high-value application workloads, real-time analytics, “near infinite” scalability and compliance with local data sovereignty laws. By building the world’s largest network of clouds, Cisco’s vision is to deliver the most comprehensive and easy-to-provision-and-consume marketplace of hybrid-ready cloud services. ::Read more::

Cloud Computing | Private Public Hybrid Cloud

What is “the Cloud”? How does it function? What are the benefits?

The days of cloud computing being a straightforward choice of running your cloud offsite on a provider’s hardware or building your own cloud in your data center are long gone. Technology has matured, so too have the options.

Selecting the right Cloud model

Cloud Computing - accessible from any deviceAll cloud solutions are not the same and neither are your requirements. Picking the right cloud model for the type of business problem you are trying to solve can be the most important decision you can make. This checklist will help guide you to identify the cloud model that best fits your business and application needs. The beauty of cloud computing technology is its simplicity… and in the fact that it requires significantly fewer capital expenditures to get up and running.

There are generally three cloud models to choose from:
